October Favourites!

Where the hell did October go people? Did I oversleep again? This month has gone so fast its unbelievable, next thing you know I'll sneeze and it'll be March. Anyway, rant about the pace time is slipping away from us over; lets delve into the beautiful bag of products I've been loving this month.

First up its the Radox Berry Burst shower cream, and I just love how this smells... it smells like sweets and strawberries and just lovely sweet sugary things. That's pretty much the nub and gist of why it made the favourites cut! I didn't find it particularly moisturising and I actually only really used this on my upper body as a sort of perfumed body wash right before I got out the shower, but I bought this in the second week of the month and its already gone. So sad to see it go, but I have bought a replacement (or two) that smell equally as edible so I won't be hung up on the loss for long!

Next we have a skincare item, and I have a feeling I'm just going to rave and rave about these for quite some time so brace yourselves; the Clearasil Daily Clear Superfruits Refreshing Pads. These apparently have vitamin B3 in to combat redness, and my skin is a red hot mess so that drew me in majorly. I really like how these smell, kinda fruity but not like pow in your face I am a berry, but they also have that sort of alcohol smell that makes you think yep these are going to clean my face real goood. I bought these for something quick and easy to try and solve my chin breakouts and also open up my pores a bit as I've been getting horrible blackheads in the last couple of months. The first night I used these I wasn't expecting miracles: I just gave my face a good wipe down with one of the pads, moisturised my skin and hopped into bed thinking no more of it. But when I woke up in the morning? Oh boy. My spots were less red, my blackheads were gone. GONE! I was one very happy bunny, but being the cautious person I am I didn't let myself get too excited; could it be beginners luck? I've used these every morning before applying make up and every night before night cream and my skin is looking very nice, aside from the two chin monsters (spots) I currently have but I'm putting those down to hormones. I love these, a Clearasil Pad a day keeps the blackheads away!

I may or may not have (completely by accident of course *wink wink*) wandered into Lush this month and I think I was very restrained! I went to the till with my popcorn lip scrub and pumpkin bubble bar feeling very proud of myself, and then to my surprise I was offered a free face mask! Who in their right mind could say no to that? So I chose the Cupcake face mask, which smells amaaazing (like a sort of chocolately minty heaven) and is supposed to be very good for oily and acne prone skin, claiming to calm those breakouts! It also has cocoa butter, linseed and cocoa powder to soften your skin which is always good! The mask felt really nice on my skin, lovely and cool after coming out of the fridge and made for a good half hour of relaxing. Then afterwards my skin felt baby smooth, and my spots appeared less red so I was pretty damn pleased. Only thing I would say is this is rather pricey at 5.95 for just 75g, buut as it is freshly made and you know there's nothing nasty or scary in there (and it did wonders for my skin) I think I can justify the price!

Another skincare product I've been loving this month is the Soap&Glory Knight in Shining Armour cream. Its a really thick and luxurious night cream, smells kind of odd; a bit like baby food? But really does a great job of replenishing my skin with the moisture it needs now we're well and truly into the colder months. I wouldn't recommend this for oilier skin, but it really does what is says on the tin (or jar) for my dry patches. Unfortunately I think this has been discontinued, but if you can find it it's worth it!

Next up its the Pantene Damage Defence spray for normal/thick hair, not too much to say about this! I wish the smell was a bit more perfumey for something I'm putting on my hair but it did such a great job of protecting my hair from blow drying, straightening etc and also detangled quite well and made my hair all swishy and silky soft which I loved. I bought this a couple of months ago and I don't remember it being expensive at all, so if you can snatch this up!!

Last but not least its a nail varnish, technically I'm not sure if this is cheating as I've only had it for a week but its just so gorgeous I couldn't not mention it. It's the Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Lychee, which is just that perfect creamy nude that goes with everything so well. It went on like a dream, it dried pretty quickly I didn't even feel the need for a top coat it was just so pretty. Perfect colour if you're wanting a more classy nail!

That's it for this month, thanks for reading!
