November Empties

I'd just like to start off by apologising for the lack of posts this month! It's been a very busy month for me, what with school work piling up before my eyes and I also had my birthday (look out for a birthday haul soon!). I'm planning to do a lot more posts now that things are calming down for Christmas.

I keep my empties in a drawer in my dressing table, and actually going into the drawer I was stunned by just how many things I've worked my way through in just a month and a half...unbelievable! So I'm just going to dive right in discussing the things that are all gone from my collection, if I liked them or not and if I would buy them again.

First up its the Pantene Instant Damage Defence Conditioning Spray for normal-thick hair. I've started with this because its by far my favourite of the bunch, I LOVE this stuff, it makes my hair smoother, shinier and easier to style (which if you have thick hair you'll know it can be a bit of a challenge to tame the beast). I spray this all over my hair when its wet and then comb through before blow drying, then if I'm straightening or curling I'll go in again on the ends just to make sure they don't end up looking frazzled. The smell is pleasant enough, but I wouldn't complain if it smelt like sweets! I will definitely be buying this again when I'm next out shopping. http://www.pantene.co.uk/hair-care-collections/normal-thick-hair/repair-&-protect/instant-damage-defense-spray

Sticking with the hair theme its the TRESemmé Liquid Gold Restorative Complex Argan Infused Oil, this is another one I'm definitely missing now its all used up! Its brilliant to put on wet hair before drying, but I prefer to use it after to smooth away any frizz. It smells great and isn't overly oily so it makes your hair greasy looking but it adds enough moisture to avoid that crazy cavewoman look that is oh so common after blowdrying (for me anyway!) Another one I'll be popping in my basket, or on my Christmas list. http://www.tresemme.co.uk/Products/Smooth/Liquid-Gold/

On a haircare roll here! The Aussie hair line has always been a hit with me, especially the ones that smell like bubblegum like the 3 minute miracle reconstructor that I always have to have on hand for hair dryness emergencies. I've used up the Colour Mate Shampoo and the Frizz Miracle, and both of them I'm not a huge fan of smell wise. I don't know what it is about this particular smell but I really don't like it! I also have the Colour Mate Leave In Conditioner but I barely touch it purely because of the stench. Even when my boyfriend used it I could smell it when he walked in the room, it's very overpowering and does linger on the hair all day which would be great if I loved the scent! The shampoo did make my colour last longer than usual when it was just a plain old brown dye, but when I had my red ends it didn't really do anything to help the colour cling on longer and I actually found it quite drying on my hair...the conditioner was actually really nice and made my hair pretty smooth but its just that smell I can't get away with! I won't be buying these again, but I have my eye on the shine range. http://www.aussiehair.com/uk/

Delving into bodycare next, and this was in my October favourites post and I just loved this...possibly an unhealthy amount! It's my well loved bottle of Radox Berry Burst Shower Cream. It smells delicious (like raspberry sugar and fruity sweet goodness) and I felt nice and clean after showering, I also used this to shave my legs with and it kept them nice and smooth and without irritation. I will DEFINITELY be buying this one again! http://www.boots.com/en/Radox-Fresh-Fruity-Berry-Burst-Shower-Gel-250ml_1297925/

I've got two skincare bits, firstly the Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover, I really liked this but it wasn't the best one I've ever used. I got this one because I'd run out of my beloved No7 which took everything off in the blink of an eye (pun intended), I just wasn't overly impressed with the amounts I had to use of this to even break through my make up slightly, I always ended up using several cotton pads instead of my usual one-per-eye. I won't be buying this one again, especially as Boots do vouchers which enable me to get my cult No7 Eye Make Up Remover for a decent price. You can buy this all over the place; I got mine at Tesco! Last up its the Cupcake Facemask by Lush, again mentioned in my favourites. I really do like this mask, especially when my skin is having a bit of a freak out. It also smells like mint chocolate, what more could a girl ask for? The only thing with this is, if you aren't a regular mask user it probably wouldn't work at as good value for money as you really do need to use this up within a week and a half or it goes kind of hard, difficult to apply and smells a bit funky. I would buy this again for a pamper evening sort of thing for a special treat! You can pick this one up for £5.95 in Lush stores or online here: https://www.lush.co.uk/product/105/Cupcake-Fresh-Face-Mask

Well that's it for this empties post, thanks for reading!

Beth:)
